CHRISTIAN SOCIAL INTERVENTION PROGRAM (CSIP)
TUESDAY INTERCESSION — 27 OCTOBER 2026
THE BODY OF CHRIST
UNITED IN CHRIST, UNITED IN PURPOSE
Theme: Unity • Spiritual Maturity • Love • Revival
Key Scripture: Ephesians 4:3 (KJV)
“Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”
1. TODAY’S BURDEN — One Body, One Mission
The Church is made up of people from different backgrounds, cultures, generations, and walks of life, yet we are called to be one body in Christ. Our differences should not become instruments of division; they should become opportunities to demonstrate the richness of God’s grace.
When competition replaces cooperation, pride replaces humility, and personal ambition becomes more important than the mission of Christ, the Church’s witness is weakened. But when believers walk in love, serve one another, uphold truth, and pursue holiness, the Body of Christ becomes a powerful instrument of hope and transformation.
Today, CSIP lifts the Church in Ghana, across Africa, and throughout the world before God. We pray for unity among denominations, integrity among leaders, spiritual growth among believers, protection for persecuted Christians, and a fresh awakening of faith among the next generation.
Our burden today: That the Body of Christ will move beyond division and become a united witness of Christ’s love, truth, holiness, and power.
2. THANKSGIVING — Thank You for the Gift of the Church
Scripture: Psalm 133:1
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the Body of Christ and the privilege of belonging to Your family. Thank You for pastors, teachers, evangelists, missionaries, intercessors, and every believer who serves faithfully, often without recognition.
Thank You for the different gifts You have placed within the Church. Thank You for the believers who encourage the discouraged, care for the vulnerable, preach the Gospel, and demonstrate Your love through practical service.
We are grateful for the unity and fellowship that continue to strengthen Christian communities. We thank You for the recent call for unity and community development during the 30th-anniversary celebration of the Techiman Local Council of Churches.
Lord, help us appreciate one another, celebrate one another’s gifts, and remember that we are fellow members of one body. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
3. CONSECRATION — Purify Your Church
Scripture: Psalm 139:23–24; Romans 12:1–2
Father, examine our hearts. Remove pride, jealousy, bitterness, unforgiveness, gossip, unhealthy competition, and every attitude that creates division among Your people.
Forgive us for the times we have placed denominational loyalty above Christian love, personal recognition above service, and human approval above obedience to Your Word.
Teach us to correct one another in love, protect confidentiality, pursue reconciliation, and uphold truth with humility. Help our leaders lead with integrity and our members serve with sincere hearts.
Holy Spirit, renew our minds and make us worthy representatives of Christ in our homes, churches, workplaces, and communities. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
4. SIX TARGETED PRAYER POINTS
1. UNITY ACROSS DENOMINATIONS
Scripture: John 17:20–23; Ephesians 4:3
Lord, unite Your Church across denominations, cultures, ethnicities, and generations.
- Break down walls of hostility, suspicion, and unnecessary rivalry.
- Help churches cooperate in evangelism, missions, community development, and social outreach.
- Let our unity demonstrate the love and character of Christ.
2. INTEGRITY AND WISDOM FOR CHURCH LEADERS
Scripture: 1 Peter 5:2–3; James 3:17
Father, strengthen pastors, bishops, elders, and ministry leaders to serve with humility, wisdom, and accountability.
- Protect leaders from pride, greed, manipulation, and moral compromise.
- Give them discernment to resolve disagreements fairly and biblically.
- Raise leaders who prioritise the spiritual welfare of people above personal gain.
3. THE NEXT GENERATION OF BELIEVERS
Scripture: 1 Timothy 4:12; Psalm 78:4
Lord, establish our young people in truth, faith, wisdom, and godly character.
- Protect them from destructive influences, deception, and spiritual apathy.
- Help churches mentor young people and give them meaningful opportunities to serve.
- Raise a generation that loves God’s Word and uses its creativity and skills to advance the Gospel.
4. A CHURCH THAT SERVES THE VULNERABLE
Scripture: Matthew 25:35–40; Galatians 6:2
Father, make Your Church a place of refuge, compassion, and practical help.
- Provide resources and wisdom for ministries serving children, widows, vulnerable families, and people living in poverty.
- Help churches support those struggling with illness, loneliness, unemployment, and hardship.
- Let our faith be demonstrated through practical love, not words alone.
5. PROTECTION FOR THE PERSECUTED CHURCH
Scripture: Hebrews 13:3; Psalm 91:1–2
Lord, remember believers facing violence, intimidation, discrimination, and restrictions because of their faith.
- Comfort families affected by the deadly attack on a church gathering in Jordan reported on 23 October.
- Strengthen believers in conflict-affected and hostile environments.
- Grant wisdom to church leaders and authorities working to protect religious freedom and civilian life.
6. SPIRITUAL REVIVAL AND EVANGELISM
Scripture: Habakkuk 3:2; Matthew 28:19–20
Holy Spirit, breathe fresh life into the Church. Restore our hunger for prayer, holiness, Scripture, and the salvation of souls.
- Rekindle the passion for evangelism and discipleship.
- Empower churches to reach communities with the Gospel and practical compassion.
- Let revival produce transformed lives, reconciled families, righteous leadership, and lasting community impact.
5. HOLY GHOST TIME — Let the Church Arise!
Let us spend dedicated time praying fervently in the Spirit over these burdens.
- Lord, unite us: Remove every spirit of division and make us one in purpose.
- Lord, purify us: Expose and heal attitudes that damage relationships within the Church.
- Lord, revive us: Restore our passion for prayer, holiness, evangelism, and Your Word.
- Lord, protect us: Strengthen persecuted believers and comfort those mourning loved ones.
- Lord, send us: Empower every congregation to become a centre of hope, service, and transformation.
Personal reflection: Am I contributing to unity in the Body of Christ, or am I allowing my words, attitudes, and actions to create division?
Take a few moments to pray for your church, its leadership, other Christian fellowships, and believers around the world.
6. DECLARATIONS OF FAITH — We Declare!
- We are one body in Christ, called to walk in love, truth, and unity.
- Division, bitterness, jealousy, and unhealthy competition will not define our fellowship.
- Our church leaders will grow in wisdom, humility, integrity, and accountability.
- Our young people will be grounded in faith and equipped to serve their generation.
- The Church will be a refuge for the vulnerable and a voice for the voiceless.
- We remember the persecuted Church and stand with believers who suffer for their faith.
- The Holy Spirit will renew our passion for prayer, evangelism, discipleship, and service.
- The Body of Christ will arise in unity and shine as a light to the nations!
7. GLORIFICATION — To God Be the Glory
Almighty God, we honour You as the Head of the Church and the source of our life, strength, and hope.
Thank You for calling us from different backgrounds into one spiritual family. May our churches be marked by love rather than rivalry, holiness rather than compromise, service rather than selfish ambition, and truth rather than deception.
Strengthen every faithful minister, encourage every weary believer, restore broken relationships, and comfort those suffering for the name of Christ.
Let the Church in Ghana, across Africa, and throughout the world rise with renewed spiritual authority and compassion. May our unity glorify Jesus, our service bless humanity, and our witness draw many hearts to You.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
